As per the new reports, KB disables sound and internet connectivity for some users. In the Microsoft community forum, many users are reporting that the latest cumulative update kills the audio or sound adapters. Last night, I did a complete reinstall of Windows, nothing. It was working perfectly before the patch installed on February 1.
Will this be corrected soon? I recently updated my computer via windows update, my touch screen stopped working, in an attempt to fix it I installed Windows 10 version After this installation my wireless driver stopped working and wouldn't connect to my WiFi. The touch screen worked again though lol. I try to roll back the driver, nothing to roll back. I try downloading the latest driver, doesn't work.
Ultimately, I gave up and rolled back windows to version and currently my WiFi works again, touch screen doesn't work. My wireless adapter is Wireless AC, current driver is version If anyone has a method for which to upgrade to windows 10 version so I can regain touch screen capabilities whilst simultaneously preserving WiFi, that would be incredible. To my knowledge no prior documentation of this specific malfunction exists, though I do note that I have seen numerous threads outlining other people with Wireless AC adapters who suffer similar problems.
Though the solutions suggested on those threads do not seem to fix my specific problem. TL;DR - Wireless AC on new Acer Swift 5 unable to connect to internet after updating to Windows 10 versionno prior documentation of this specific problem on this specific laptop model, looking for solutions.

Did this solve your problem? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I have exactly the same problem. After updating to Windows 10 Pro v, wifi on my Latitude E no longer works. The wifi soft switch defaults to "turn wifi back on manually", but I when I switch on the soft switch, the wifi does not detect any networks and switches off after about a second. Note there is a hard wifi switch on the machine but it hasn't worked in years. The machine worked fine before the update and wifi works on my other machines including a Latitude which is at the same update.
LAN works fine. The only solution I have found was to uninstall Wifi works again! However this is obviously not a longterm solution. It seems to be a MS problem, quite widespread, judging by reports online, and at the moment unsolved. Are MS going to rectify this is the update?
Since updates, my Atheros wireless adapter keeps shutting down causing my internet connection to be lost. I have run troubleshooter with no avail. I recently just tried a WIndows 10 approach, which is Click WindowsLogo Key and X at same time, when window opens, right click on device manager, then choose the network adapter and troubleshoot. This has ran a diag and fix of said adapter, found problem and fixed it?Microsoft has acknowledged another problem in Windows 10 version where user's are reporting that their network adapters suddenly stop working after installing a cumulative update.
If these devices are updated to Windows 10, versionthey will no longer be able to use any Wi-Fi connections. Microsoft has not indicated what cumulative update is causing this issue, but as found by WindowsLatestusers have reported [ 1. It kept reporting 'disconnected'. I downloaded the Intel I uninstalled the kb, and I'm back in business. I'm running Intel driver Now, I sit and wait and hope MS fixes!
Even more confusing is that some of the users are exhibiting these issues on their LAN adapters and not just wireless adapters. For now, though, Microsoft has issued a compatibility hold on affected devices so that they will not be offered the Windows 10 version update. You should now be able to use Wi-Fi until your next reboot.
For a complete fix, affected Windows 10 v users will need to wait for a fix to be released by Microsoft.
Windows The new hidden features found in preview builds. Windows 10 will list unused files and apps you can remove. Leak shows Windows 10 could come as 'May Update'. I had to uninstall the current driver and install a previous driver found on Marvell site for it to work again, as I was unable to Roll back the driver. Since the last update before this newest one, I can not use the "share wifi".
It says "we can't set up at this time", but I've tried dozens of times with no luck. Any suggestions? I'm not in front of it right now so I can't tell you what version it is. But it's an Acer Predator Helios WiFi sharing was a awesome and worked great for months then after update, nope. Any thoughts or suggestions? Besides "you should have bought a enter brand here "? Thanks in advance. There are a lot of things that could cause this issue and you haven't really given enough information to determine which cause it is.
Not a member yet? Some bugs has been mentioned since May But there is also good news, because some problems can now be fixed or have been corrected by updates. Here is a rough overview of what has changed. When upgrading a Windows 10 system to the new version May Update there may be several issues. Microsoft has set upgrade stopper for several known issues. I had already reported about such problems in a series of articles see Windows 10 V Known Issues — Part 1.
This list is available here.
Some older computers may lose Wi-Fi connectivity due to an outdated Qualcomm driver. A remedy is an updated Wi-Fi driver from the device manufacturer OEMif available and if this driver works.
Microsoft has therefore blocked the feature update to Windows 10 version for these machines with an older Windows To upgrade these machines to versionan updated Wi-Fi driver from the device manufacturer OEM must first be installed.
Microsoft does not recommend users of these systems to attempt an upgrade via the Windows Update page and the Update Now button if the blockage does not occur. It is also not recommended to use the Windows Media Creation Tool to create an installation media and then try an upgrade with the old driver.
This was already mentioned in May see this article — part 2. However, Microsoft updated the status page entry on August 1,as updated drivers from Qualcomm are now apparently being distributed to OEMs. And in this comment someone mentions an Intel AC device with issues. The problems with gamma ramps, colour profiles and night light mode are still unsolved.
Microsoft writes that some scenarios have been identified in which gamma ramps, color profiles and night light settings no longer work.
Redmond gives the following scenarios where problems can occur:. This applies to Windows 10 V client. If the night light mode no longer works, Microsoft suggests a restart. These bugs were also mentioned in part 2 of my article series.
